Want to allow customers to create and purchase gang sheets that grow as they add more designs? A Rolling Gang Sheet is the perfect solution. This guide shows you how to set it up in both Shopify and Build A Gang Sheet.
Part 1: Set Up the Product in Shopify
Go to Sales Channels
Click “Sales channels” from the left menu
Select “Online Store”
Create a Product
Go to Products > Add product
Enter your desired Title (e.g., "Rolling Gang Sheet")
Turn OFF “Track quantity”
Set Product Type & Tags
In the Type field, enter:
Gang Sheet
In Tags, type:
Gang Sheet
Click “Save”
Part 2: Configure It in Build A Gang Sheet App
Open the App
Go to Apps > Build A Gang Sheet
Click “Products”
Edit Your Product
Click the edit icon next to your product
Set Product Type to:
Rolling Gang Sheet
Pricing Setup
Enter the price you want to charge customers
Choose Flat or Tiered Pricing
Adjust Size Units as needed (in, cm, mm)
Set Gang Sheet Parameters
Printer Width = your printer’s roll width
Start Height = the minimum height for a sheet to process
Min Height = smallest billable height
Max Height = the upper limit for each rolling sheet
Save Your Product
Part 3: Theme Setup (for Older Shopify Themes)
Go Back to Online Store
Click Sales Channel > Online Store > Customize
Create a Product Template
Select the Home Page tab
Click “Products” > Create template
Name it:
gang-sheet-rolling
Click Create template then exit
Apply the Template
Go to Products > [Your Rolling Gang Sheet Product]
In the Theme Template dropdown, select:
gang-sheet
Click Save
Add Button
Click Sales Channel > Online Store > Customize
Select the Home Page tab
Click “Products” > gang-sheet-rolling
Hide "Buy Button"
Hover to add button > Apps > Gang Sheet
Final Step: Test Your Product
Preview in Build A Gang Sheet
Go to Apps > Build A Gang Sheet > Products
Click “View” next to your product
Click “Build your own Gang Sheet” and preview your setup!
That’s it—you’ve successfully built a Rolling Gang Sheet in Shopify!
Customers can now create variable-height sheets that grow with their order.
